About PetCrematories

PetCrematories helps you find a pet cremation provider when you have lost a pet, so the practical part of it takes less out of you.

What we do

We maintain a directory of pet cremation and aquamation providers across the United States. Today it covers 1512 providers in 1020cities across 48 states, and it grows as we verify more listings. For each provider we show what we can confirm from public sources, along with the Google rating, so you can compare quietly in one place.

How we build the listings

We compile candidate providers from public Google business data, then check each one before publishing. Only listings that clear that check appear here. Where a provider lists services such as private cremation, communal cremation, or aquamation, we surface them so you know what to ask about before you call. The full process, including what gets a listing excluded, is on ourhow we verify listings page.

How we check what we publish

Every listing has to identify itself, in its own public business listing, as a pet cremation or aquamation service, and clear a confidence check we run on every record. Near-misses that showed up in the same searches (groomers, pet stores, general cemeteries) are dropped. The ratings we show are Google's, with review counts alongside so you can judge the sample yourself: 1,321 of our listings carry reviews. We never write reviews or testimonials, and we do not score providers ourselves.

Our guides work the same way. Each one cites named public sources, uses real US price ranges rather than invented ones, and says plainly when something varies too much by region to pin down. Where a page states a number, it is computed from this directory's data or traced to a source at the foot of the guide.

Our listing standards

  • No pay-for-placement, ever. Providers cannot buy a listing, a ranking, or a label, and we have no business relationship with anyone listed.
  • Listings are ordered by public Google rating and review count, nothing else.
  • Dead links are removed rather than shipped, and all scraped text is cleaned before it reaches a page.
  • Pages we cannot yet back with enough verified data are kept out of search engines until we can.

Who it's for

  • Families who have just lost a pet and need to find a provider without wading through ads at a raw moment.
  • Families preparing ahead for an old or ill pet, who want to compare options calmly before the day comes.
  • Veterinary staff pointing clients to local cremation and aquamation services.
  • Providers themselves, who can correct or claim their listing at no cost.

Free to use

The directory is free, with no account and no paywall. We do not take bookings, referral fees, or payments from providers, so nothing steers you toward one business over another.

What we are not

We are not a cremation service and we do not arrange services, take bookings, or process payments. We are not affiliated with the providers listed, and inclusion is not an endorsement. When you find a provider you trust, you contact them directly. Listing details come from public sources and may be out of date, so always confirm services and pricing with the provider.
